I love performing , just me and my guitar. I am writing and performing original material, as well as songs new and old by some of my musical heroes. I’ve been influenced by the likes of Bill Monroe, Woody Guthrie, Rambin’ Jack Elliott, John Prine, Guy Clark, Shawn Camp, Steve Goodman, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Ruzika and many more…”

For two decades, CACCIA (Anne Archer and Chris Giguere) has performed for area audiences in such venues as Musiikki, The Public House, The RCHA, and the much missed Ben’s Pub, as well as playing for private functions. Our repertoire is varied and eclectic, ranging from early music to blues, celtic to klezmer, and baroque to jazz. We specialize in mixed-genre medleys.
This singer/songwriter/guitarist’s repertoire spans decades of classic favorites and other cool tunes, notably from the 50s, 60s, and 70s – the heyday of folk and folk-rock hits. Tom entertains and engages audiences with his superb vocal performances and fingerstyle guitar accompaniment of classic and cool tunes, including his own compositions. Be sure to catch his next performance! www.tomward.ca
Mellow Lily (A.K.A. Kathryn Nemcsok) is an award winning singer-songwriter. Her live shows are intimate and real, striving for audience connection through songs and stories. On “Infinite Night Stand” she invokes artistic influences from Feist, Gordon Lightfoot, Sarah McLachlan, and Stan Rogers. Her music is a passport that transports you to places you may recognize, and places you’ve never been.
Bassist Adam Hodge joins Tracie Morgan, Brian Flynn and Christina Tracy, to perform a mix of songs with lush vocal harmonies and artful arrangements. These four artists are all part of the Erroneous Monks, a band dedicated to playing the music of Leonard Cohen, so you can be sure to hear some Leonard Cohen here.
Judy & Me
Judy and Me are Judy Duguay and Rick Melanson. Both bring years of experience to their performances. They released their debut CD of originals titled ‘Guessing’ in 2016. In 2017, they appeared on Radio-Canada’s ‘La petite séduction’. While Rick pens the originals, Judy elevates each piece with her superb vocal ability. Best to check them off as a ‘must see’!
VOHON was formed by volunteers (Terry, Paul, Jason) at the Canadian Ukrainian Club Folklore events, Matt joined in 2017. We play Neo-traditional Ukrainian folk/punk/ethnic/jazz/rock and VOHON is the English spelling of вогонь which means “Fire” in Ukrainian. High energy traditional Ukrainian dance music delivered with attitude kicks the crowd into high gear right from the start. https://www.facebook.com/theukrainianband/
I play “Old Time” music, including pre-war country and jug band songs, and material from contemporary musicians that fits the mold. I accompany myself on guitar (often fingerpicked) and banjo (mostly clawhammer). My influences are varied, having seen (and photographed) performers from Elizabeth Cotten to Janis Joplin, with experiences ranging from conducting school choirs to bands to leading liturgical music.
Strung Out To Dry
This roots trio from Kingston includes Pete Jozsa (mandolin, vocals), Chris Morris (guitar, harmonica, vocals) and Chris Petersen (bass, vocals), all seasoned musicians, bonding over their love for the Grateful Dead and traditional folk/bluegrass music. Performances typically feature instrumentals, original and traditional folk music, Gypsy jazz, bluegrass, popular and obscure covers, Chicago blues, jazz standards, fresh jams, terrible jokes, and plenty of solos!
Denis Leroux & Craig Jones
Denis has an affinity for artists such as Wilco, Jayhawks, Ryan Adams and Lucinda Williams. Craig’s been sideman to any number of stars, and – like Joe Chithalen – believes that music performance should be accessible to everyone – because it’s “the most fun you can have with your clothes on.”
For three years, they’ve been extremely busy, performing at almost every Ontario bluegrass festival, promoting their 2015 CD of original material ‘UP NORTH’. It premiered at #1 on CFRC folk/roots/blues chart in 2015, in the top 10 for 9 weeks (www.earshot-online.com/charts/cfrc=2015-07-21)! We were honored to be nominated for Recording Of the Year at the 2016 Central Canadian Bluegrass Awards. www.cr5bluegrassband.com
Jon’s influences stem from roots music including country, celtic, old-time, and singer-songwriters like James Taylor, Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, Dylan. His singing is clear and gentle, with finger-style guitar playing reminiscent of bluesman Mississippi John Hurt. Besides his solo efforts, he plays in a number of local bands including Turpin’s Trail, the Goodnight Irene’s, Frost and McLurg, and with fiddle wizard Jessica Wedden.
In two years, this genre-bending band has shared stages with 54-40, Treble Charger, USS, The Mahones and The Stellas, were finalists in Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Artist Mentorship Program, won first place in two song-writing contests, released their eleven-track debut album, and become a fixture in the Kingston music scene. https://facebook.com/goldwingmusic?fref=ts
