The Mansion Living Room, 506 Princess St. (Psychedelic Snack Music Venue)
From the Coordinators: “The idea for the Psychedelic Snack originated from a renegade radio station across the lake. Said station would load up the CD player with beautiful music on Sunday nights and play albums start to finish. The music was wild, experimental and creative. The aim of the Snack at Homegrown is to give the listener a similar trip into some local creative’s minds. The recipe for the snack is simple, avoid being bound by genre’s and be prepared for music and words that will stretch our collective minds and hearts”

Born out of a shared appreciation for 90’s alternative and modern RAWk, TU is a power trio from Kingston. Melding influences from punk, metal, and rawk with subtle hints of pop and hip hop, TU is a melting pot for RAWk and it’s many sub genres.
I’ve had a house gig at the BluMartini for the past year, playing with the same core group of musicians every week: Bill Plaxton (upright bass), Doug Vanderhorden (percussion), Jeff Salmon (drums), Paul Halladay (lead guitar), Donald Cooper (mandolin), and myself (acoustic guitar). It is with these wonderful musicians that I will be performing my original songs at Home Grown 2018.

The unmistakeable sound of corduroy. Tension between disputing ideologies dying in front of us. What is old is new again and what is new is old. Guitar, drum, bass is not dead yet. Reuben Smith plays the hypnotic bass, Phil Write (Wright) plays the thundering drums and Andy Radio (Hills) plays the guitar and throws meaningless words into the cosmic dust.
This hard rocking power trio from Kingston promises to put on a show that will get the crowd fired up, with original songs written by the talented Patrick Marshall. With riffs that will get stuck in your head, catchy solos, punchy bass lines, and hard pounding drums, this rock trio gives everything they’ve got and more at every show. hallowoodband.com
