Biography: Futura Free was started by Peter Luft in a makeshift studio space in his girlfriend’s basement. Not long after, Kevin Feeley (guitar), Bobby Benevides (drums), and Gabriel Reeves (bass) rounded out the lineup and marked the shift from a solo recording project to fully fledged indie rock band. Left on Bowery
The name comes from the legendary Bowery of N.Y.C where punk music found its calling in the US at the famous CBGB’s.
The Straight Teeth
The Straight Teeth are a rock duo hailing from Kingston Ontario, with Nathan Juby on lead vocals and guitars, and Alexander Munroe on back-up vocals and drums. With explosive changes and dynamics, the inspiration for the majority of the music ranges from genres of punk-rock, grunge, and alternative, through to more subtle underlying influences in the ways of funk and classic rock, all combined with a unique take from the perspective of this one-two band, which can be heard evidently during live performances. The story of how this band came together is long and strange, while simultaneously short and pretty normal, but a tale like that is best saved for a face-to-face with those responsible. More info.
The Beta 58s
The Beta 58’s aren’t the answer, the pioneers, or the stars of anything. We’re the loudmouths you see playing rock and roll down the street in that bar that looks like it closed months ago. We play simple, fast, and loud songs to get that last work week out of your head. Get your dancing shoes on and get to the front of the stage, The Beta 58’s are coming to a dive near you… More info.
