Originally from Kingston, Will Reynolds moved to Gananoque with his family in 2020. His burgeoning stand-up career started last year at an amateur competition to find ‘Gananoque’s Funniest Person.’ Since then, he’s been honing his craft in theatres, bars and small halls throughout Eastern Ontario. His dry delivery and dark wit has proved popular with those who appreciate the humour in life’s unpleasantries. When he’s not practicing his routine into a lint roller for his patient wife, he works as a chef in an Italian restaurant in downtown Kingston.
I’m Patrick Hellyer, a towering 6-foot-2 bundle of raw, raunchy comedy, and if you’re looking for someone who’s loud, borderline offensive, and capable of making you laugh while questioning your life choices—then I’m your guy. Oh, and did I mention I’m ginger? That’s right, I’ve got great hair, and by "great," I mean it’s a flaming symbol of my fiery wit and, let’s be honest, an odd source of my comedy power.
My style is a mixture of lowbrow humor and absolutely no filter. I yell, I shout, I might make you uncomfortable—and that’s exactly the point. I’ve been told I’m like the comedy equivalent of a hot dog on a rollercoaster: big, sloppy, and surprisingly exhilarating once you strap in.
Now, a little about myself: I’m not your typical “stand-up guy.” For one, I’m overweight. This is not just a joke about my body; it’s a lifestyle choice. You see, I have perfected the art of squeezing humor out of every extra pound, every crease, and every awkward moment where I bend over to tie my shoe and feel like I’m auditioning for a role in a "Lord of the Rings" movie. If you’re looking for a comic who can make fat jokes that aren’t tired or boring, look no further. I'm basically the human embodiment of "Dad Bod" if it got caught in a windstorm.
In addition to my massive physical presence, I might also have been inbred—at least that’s what my family tells me when I yell at them for not laughing at my jokes. But hey, we all have our quirks, right? Some people are talented, and some of us are just genetically predisposed to being hilarious because the universe threw a few too many chromosomes my way.
But seriously (though not really), my comedy is for people who like their humor unfiltered, unpolished, and just a little bit dangerous. If you enjoy the rawness of comedy that feels like it’s teetering on the edge of a nervous breakdown but always lands on a punchline, then I’m your guy.
So, if you're ready for a red-haired, heavy-set, and loud-as-hell comic who will make you laugh until you're questioning your own genetic makeup, I’d be honored to take the stage at Homegrown Live.
Looking forward to making you laugh... and maybe cringe a little.
