Reckless & Banded

Reckless & Banded was formed in early 2021 through a series of voice memos sent between Kingston and Montreal. What began as a tribute to their late friend, Mathew “Jeebs” Simpson, quickly became a musical connection that could not be denied.

With both artists now residing in Kingston, they hope to combine their unique musical talents and cultivate a sound that is not currently found in the Kingston music scene. Ryan, having been a front man for punk and alternative bands, brings catchy instrumentation and melodies, with award-winning songwriting to back it up. Bea, classically trained in piano and voice with years of experience as a singer/songwriter, contrasts Ryan’s raspy vocals with sweet, soothing harmonies and finger-picking songs that could break your heart.

8:55 PM
VOHON

Neo-traditional Ukrainian, World Folk/Punk/Ethnic/Gypsy/Rock Ensemble.
VOHON is the English spelling of вогонь which means “Fire” in Ukrainian

9:50 PM
Sweet Pete & The Heat

Sweet Pete and the Heat have been playing music in the Kingston area for quite a few years now, and are pumped to finally be able to return to the stage. We play original blues and rock as well as a selection of cover songs with an emphasis on getting people up and dancing.

10:45 PM
Futura Free

Having just moved to a completely new city without much of a plan, Futura Free was started by Peter Luft in a makeshift studio space in his girlfriend’s basement. Peter had just left behind his hometown and his old band, and had a collection of new songs whose fates were still undecided.

Peter took to the internet to meet some like-minded musicians in this unfamiliar new town. It didn’t take long for him to start collaborating with Kevin Feeley (guitar), whose background in shoegaze music was the perfect counterpoint to Peter’s dream pop/punk background. The two soon drafted Bobby Benevides (drums) and Gabriel Reeves (bass), completing the shift from a basement recording project into something much more exciting.

11:25 PM
FASTFAST

FASTFAST is the creation of local composer James Mulvale. Combining 60s Psychedelia with cutting-edge technology and a huge dose of xenharmonic harmony, you will hear music that is part mushroom trip and part Blade Runner OST.

12:20 AM
KaKaow

Ricky Brant is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and performer based in Kingston. Over the last
decade, Ricky has left his fingerprints on a wide variety of projects in the community,
ranging in style from rock and psychedelia to funk and electronic dance. A self-taught guitarist
and keyboardist, Ricky has always separated himself from the crowd. Today, Ricky applies his
talent and ear to KaKaow, a project that sees him harnessing the power and groove of 70s funk and electronic production into something new and exciting in the local community.
