Thank you to the 400 volunteer musicians, door people, venues, sponsors, partners, and audiences. All the new venues worked out really well. The street parade was a special bonus and it was great fun. Overall we raised $12,483.00 for Joe’s MILL just a little shy of our record revenue from last year. Stay tuned for details regarding a special 10th Anniversary event (film screening, concerts, jams, workshops, and beerfest) Nov 8-10, 2018 called “Plant the Seeds”

SPECIAL 10th ANNIVERSARY EVENT!
NEW GENRES…… NEW VENUES……. BIGGEST EVER HOMEGROWN….
Oh my gosh! HomeGrown 2017 breaks attendance and revenue record!
The music was fantastic. The vibe was really good. Stress levels of volunteers, organizers, sound techs, and venue coordinators was manageable. Approximately 350 volunteer musicians convinced over 1100 people to come out and support live music and Joe’s M.I.I.L. With the additional help of sponsors and partners we raised $12,700, a new revenue record. Way to go Kingston!
Axens Canada Makes Donation to Joe’s M.I.L.L.
After the Festival HomeGrown received a cheque for Joe’s M.I.L.L. from Axens Canada. The covering letter in part said ” At Axens Canada we decided long ago that our corporate support would go to worthy causes where our employees choose to donate their own time. As part of this program, please accept the attached donation towards the very worthwhile programs at Joe’s MILL and in recognition of the efforts of volunteers and organizers of the Kingston HomeGrown Live Music Festival.”
